Symposium event details
Dates: Thursday, May 15th and Friday, May 16th, 2025
Location: Gevirtz Graduate School of Education Building
Theme: Reimagining Education for an Ever Changing World.
The vision of this event is to provide a space for student researchers to showcase their own work and to foster connection building within GGSE, as well as with the larger community. We invite any undergraduate or graduate student, postdoctoral scholar, staff member, faculty, or alumni from UCSB whose work is related to education to present their research, degree-related work, or community-work, at any stage of the process. Please consider using this as a chance, for example, to practice a presentation for a conference or to receive low-stakes feedback from peers and faculty.
Presenting at the Symposium
Proposals are welcome from all UCSB campus community members including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff community members. Presentation proposals related to research and practice focused on learning, teaching, and education are welcome. Presentations focused on issues in social science research methodology are also encouraged.
We ask that individuals submit no more than three (3) first author submissions. Please review the submission deadlines below:
March 31st at 11:59pm PT
- Completed paper roundtable paper presentation
April 15th at 11:59pm PT
